Commercial HVAC Estimator
Crowther Mechanical is the leading provider of commercial HVAC service, installation, and maintenance in Southwest Florida. Looking to hire Estimators for large commercial HVAC jobs. The ideal candidate would have at least five years of estimating experience. The ability to interact with clients, superintendents, and senior leaders is key to this position.
Key Responsibilities of an HVAC Estimator:
• Project Analysis:
Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to understand the scope of work.
• Cost Estimation:
Calculating material costs, labor hours, equipment needs, and potential subcontractor costs.
• Bid Preparation:
Creating detailed and accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects, including both commercial and residential projects.
• Vendor Communication:
Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability information.
• Site Surveys:
Performing site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
• Software Proficiency:
Utilizing computer estimating systems and other related software to streamline the estimating process.
• Project Coordination:
Collaborating with other departments, such as design and project management, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintaining Records:
Keeping accurate records of unit costs and project data for future reference.
• Problem Solving:
Identifying and addressing potential issues that could impact project costs or timelines.
Position Requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must speak English, Bilingual is a plus
